32 years ago, Nike produced the unimaginable with the Air Max, the first shoe with a visibly air-cushioned sole. To commemorate its anniversary this year, Nike hosted community-based days of learning in 12 cities around the world inspired by the shoe’s technology. Toronto’s Department of Unimaginable event featured three workshops led by globally-renowned Canadian creatives including footwear photographer Jesse Ingalls and multimedia artist Diana Lynn VanderMeulen, along with multi-disciplinary creatives Liam Goslett, Quinn Johnsen and Michael Chiu.
