GLORY’s Mission Critical podcast came to life with a powerful live taping at Toronto’s Annex Hotel, presented by Veuve Clicquot. Hosted by GLORY’s Editor-in-Chief Lance Chung, the evening featured an inspiring conversation with Jennifer Flanagan—co-founder, President, and CEO of Actua, Canada’s leading STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) outreach organization for youth.
For over 25 years, Flanagan has been at the forefront of advancing technology equity, STEM education, and inclusion across Canada. She’s a recognized leader in the field and the latest recipient of the Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award, which celebrates pioneering women entrepreneurs who redefine success on their own terms—just like Madame Clicquot did over 250 years ago.
During the live discussion, Flanagan explored the politicization of science, the systemic barriers in STEM fields, and the critical need to empower future generations through inclusive education. She also offered a masterclass in leadership, sharing her insights on building a purpose-driven organization with national impact.

The event, attended by a dynamic crowd of women entrepreneurs, tech and beauty founders, and influential leaders in business, sport, and culture, also marked the official opening of nominations for the next Veuve Clicquot BOLD Woman Awards—a global platform celebrating women who are reshaping industries and leading with conviction.
With thoughtful dialogue, a celebration of bold leadership, and plenty of Veuve Clicquot flowing, Mission Critical Live was a reminder that real change happens when purpose meets platform.
