During this time, the brand has worked with the Filioux family, who serve as producers or blenders of eaux-de-vie (“water of life”), to create a time-tested legacy built on tradition, innovation, and excellence. 

In 2016, Hennessy unveiled the first limited-edition Master Blender’s Selection—a single-batch series meant to be released annually. Blended only once and never repeated again, each bottle is a rare gem that Cognac connoisseurs will truly appreciate. Why is this a big deal?

The third edition features the very first creation of Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, the eighth generation Master Blender, who carefully selects each eau-de-vie to define the blend’s unique personality. Blended from a selection of 20 eaux-de-vie that are a minimum of seven years old, the Master Blender’s Selection No. 3 features notes of toasted hazelnut and fresh pastries on the nose, and a well-rounded, smooth taste.
