[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Even in the best of times, launching and growing a small business is a tall task. It’s fraught with constant uphill battles and largely unforeseeable challenges. Looking back, it’s been a particularly difficult year for small businesses, which have had to repeatedly pivot and adapt to changing rules and mandates. Fortunately, as the country eases back into a state of normalcy, several established companies are embracing their ability to assist the rebirth of small businesses. One such partnership that is taking on the challenge is Canon Canada and Venture For Canada.
To celebrate the launch of Canon’s brand new MAXIFY GX Series Refillable Printer, Canon Canada is partnering up with Venture For Canada, a platform that provides small business owners and entrepreneurs with tools and resources to help get their business off the ground.
Canon and Venture For Canada will be giving away one of Canon’s MAXIFY GX Series Refillable Printers and a grand prize of $1,500 CAD. The initiative was driven by the taxing situation the pandemic has put Canadian small business owners in.
“Small businesses have been heavily impacted during this time, forced to pivot and transition to new ways of doing business. Small business owners have a lot to focus on, and Canon wanted to help take something off their plate,” says Brett Gaskell, Senior Director of Customer Experience at Canon Canada.
Together, Canon Canada and Venture For Canada are helping small business owners find short-term solutions that will produce long-term results. While Canon’s new refillable printer will help save time and energy, the sum of $1,500 CAD can be put towards furnishing any workspace with various office supplies. Whether it’s working from home or at the office, having the right equipment is vital to any business’ success.
Canon designed their new printer having in mind the growing emergence of entrepreneurs wanting to start their own business but struggling to do so amidst the pandemic. As a means to provide solutions to small-business owners and young entrepreneurs, Canon came out with this perfect tool at the perfect time.
The MAXIFY series of MegaTank printers utilize a high-volume continuous ink supply system which may significantly reduce ink costs for colour printing, producing approximately 14,000 colour prints and approximately 6,000 black ink prints before needing to be refilled. The four-coloured ink set is pigment-based, which is well suited for business use as the printing does not smudge easily when using a highlighter, since the ink is highly resistant to friction.
“A high-quality business printer can be an investment that business owners can depend on and with MAXIFY GX Series’ low-cost printing, incredible page yields, and a contractless three-year warranty, we wanted to give small business owners one less thing to worry about so that they can come out of this stronger” adds Gaskell.
The continuous ink supply system contributes to a low total cost of ownership and running costs of roughly two cents per colour print, further adding to the efficiency of these machines. Along with a small overall footprint that easily fits in almost any office environment, the printer’s three-year limited warranty (upon product registration) gives consumers the peace of mind that they will be ready to work when needed most. Overall, the MAXIFY GX MegaTank Series printers are built for business.
Being an entrepreneur during these unprecedented times isn’t easy, but even amidst the pandemic, Canon Canada and Venture For Canada are doing what they can to help clear the path to success for small businesses owners.
Venture For Canada was founded in 2013 by Scott Stirrett, a young entrepreneur who saw a need to help Canadians launch their own entrepreneurial journey. The charity has since expanded its platform to include programs for entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to grow their knowledge in the world of business.
Together, Canon Canada and Venture For Canada are here to support business owners and entrepreneurs who are ready to take the leap of faith and grow their businesses.
