Toast to the classics with a splash of martini.

Legend has it that the Martini was invented out of necessity (the bar had run out of champagne) and celebration (a miner had just struck gold, literally). If that isn’t the story of the North American dream, we don’t know what is.

Leslieville’s updated and renovated Maple Leaf Tavern (which we called Toronto’s best-kept food secret earlier this year) has always been a fan of American classics. In keeping with their traditions and North American history, the restaurant located in Toronto’s East End is bringing a revitalized Martini service for Torontonians to enjoy a taste of fabled yesteryear.

“At Maple Leaf Tavern we wanted to revitalize a North American classic, delivering our attention to detail through a world-class cocktail, presented tableside. Our curated blend of Plymouth Gin, Dolin Dry Vermouth, and orange bitters is served ice cold with an array of garnishes, offering our guests a truly elevated, bespoke experience,” said Ben Lemieux, Maple Leaf Tavern’s head bartender.

Guests can now choose to shake or stir thier cocktail at their table accompanied by an assortment of fresh garnishes including citrus peel, Cerignola olives, and house-brined pearl onions. Visit the historic tavern and experience a curated martini, a 20th-century cocktail as iconic as the Leslieville restaurant itself.
