Becoming Banksy is part fast-paced comedy, part heartwarming introspective, with a talented, diverse cast
Written by Sammy Abdo
Becoming Banksy explores what happens when a confused tourist is mistaken for the world’s most famous artist. The show comes from the creators of Channeling Kevin Spacey, a comedy that rocked Toronto before a two-year run off-Broadway. The show is based off graffiti artist Banksy, notorious for his famous work but low-key profile. The cast includes Toronto-based actor, writer and director Daniel Pagett. He has performed all over the indie scene and three of his written works have been produced in Toronto this past year.
The show runs until Sunday, October 14th at the historic Redwood theatre, 7:30PM on Wednesday, 8PM Thursday to Saturday and 2PM Saturday to Sunday.
